HMO – This plan usually limits coverage to care from doctors who work with the HMO. It might not cover care from doctors that are out-of-network. This plan may also require you to get referrals to seek care from specialists.
HMO Open Access – Allows employees to see specialists without a referral from a general care physician, but they must be in-network.
POS Open Access – This plan provides out of network benefits
PPO – This plan offers the option to use doctors that are out-of-network and provides out-of-network benefits. Using doctor’s in-network may cost less with this plan.
